10 Best Red Carpet Looks of Year 2014!
I am so excited about the coming Christmas and New Year, what about you? So, it’s almost the end of the year. It’s interesting and inspiring to look back those impressive red carpet styles of this year. Well, in a word – STUNNING! From Lupita Nyong’o stunned the world with her light blue ensemble for Oscars, we knew that it’s a big year for fashion!
Lupita Nyong’o in Prada for Oscars 2014
Nyong’o sported so many beautiful dresses during her debut awards season, it was hard to choose a favorite! But if we must, it would be the Oscar winner’s ice blue, pleated Prada stunner, which she wore to the Academy Awards in March. Nyong’o accessorized the design with Prada platforms, Fred Leighton jewels, and, by the end of the night, her very own statuette!
Lupita Nyong’o in Dior for BAFTA 2014
Need to mention, Lupita Nyong’o another number also tops the best dress list – the emerald Dior gown at the 2014 BAFTAs. She just looked perfect and again flexed her fashion muscle in a dazzling, emerald-green gown from the Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture collection, worn with Christian Louboutin heels. The rich, jewel-toned hue had me at hello. Add to that the metallic belt and the long, theatrical ball-gown train, and this is what red-carpet dressing is really all about.
Jessica Chastain London premiere of ‘Interstellar’ 2014
Jessica Chastain always knows what to wear and manages to steal the spotlight everytime she stepped on the red carpet. She donned many beautiful looks for red carpet 2014, while the most impressive one was pink shade gown she opted at London premiere of ‘Interstellar’. Expertly created with masterful precision, the gown features a sensual cut-out and dazzling crystal accented shoulder strap for a magnificent finish makes this an unrivalled, unforgettable choice. Where do I start to give praise? It’s all good, no, great.
I always love Emma’s style! She definitely has an eye for fashion! Check out this ray of sunshine! Stone ushered in the spring season in a lemon column dress, courtesy of Versace for The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s London debut in April. A bold raspberry lip contrasted the design beautifully. The look is wonderfully glamorous and couldn’t be more impeccable choice for a world premiere, plus the colour is perfect, not only for her colouring, but also for the season.
Blake Lively in Gucci for Met Gala 2014
Blake Lively is now a happy mom-to-be. And she always manages to get all the attentions. Blake donned bunches of stunning pieces to the red carpet. The Preserve founder glistened in a beaded rose gold Gucci Premiere dress, complete with a chiffon cape, at the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in May. Gucci heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels completed the glam ensemble.
Elizabeth Banks in Elie Saab for London premiere of The Hunger Games
We know that Elie Saab always stuns, right? Elizabeth Banks won the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (and even outshined J. Law!) when she stepped onto the red carpet in the watercolor, caped confection by Elie Saab in November.
Kate Bosworth Toronto Film Festival 2014
Kate is a fan of muted, understated fashion. But Kate Bosworth obviously wanted to stand out at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of Still Alice. She managed to make an impact in a dazzling red dress featuring a matte bodice and a glistening skirt. And that’s a great inspiration for holiday party wear, too! Don’t you think?
Allison Williams in Giambattista Valli for Emmys 2014
Allison Williams added some major interest to the red carpet of the 2014 Emmy Awards. The ‘Girls’ star wore a dramatic Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 Couture gown that featured several points of interest. I can’t say enough about how much I love this look. It is such a dramatic gown while remaining understated–no crazy colors or designs, but still so visually intriguing.
Karolina Kurkova in Marchesa for 2014 Met Gala
Karolina Kurkova is something out of a dream on the red carpet of the 2014 Met Gala. The supermodel wore a Marchesa Spring 2011 gown in a deep teal hue with a painterly floral print. The dramatic shape and cut of the dress are a work of art and is perfectly accented with incredible Harry Winston diamonds. This is just the kind of unique yet glamorous look that an event like this calls for.
Lily Collins in Elie Saab for Rome Film Festival 2014
This red carpet look may be the best look of the year! So dreamy! In October, Lily Collins made fashion lovers’ hearts skip a beat when she stepped out in this purple ombre Elie Saab dress at the Rome Film Festival debut of Love, Rosie. The actress accessorized the ensemble with ebony heels and Vita Fede jewelry.
